Cobi 1/35 Scale M1A2 Abrams Model Kit The M1 Abrams tank is a true icon of American engineering. Production began in 1980, and the vehicle was named after General Creighton Abrams, the charismatic commander of the 37th Armoured Battalion, who fought in World War II and later led American forces in Vietnam. It was created to fight the armoured forces of the Soviet Union. However, it saw combat primarily in conflicts in the Middle East.
