A contract for 200 aircraft followed, and the Hudson became the first American-built aircraft to enter RAF service during the Second World War. The Hudson proved extremely versatile, serving on maritime reconnaissance, anti-submarine patrols, convoy escorts, bombing missions and covert operations. Introduced in 1940, the Mk.III was powered by two 1,200hp Wright Cyclone radial engines and featured a retractable ventral gun position for additional defence.   Paints and glue are required to complete this model kit.
