From 1971, the Cabriolet was based on the more modern 1302S, which introduced MacPherson strut front suspension, before the 1303S with its distinctive curved panoramic windscreen became the basis for the model in 1973. The 1975 15ADK represented by this kit combined the classic Beetle shape with a four-seat Cabriolet body and a 1600cc engine. While German production of the regular Beetle ended in 1978, demand for the open-top version saw Karmann continue building the Cabriolet until 1980.   Paints and glue are required to complete this model kit.
