Its performance came largely from the powerful Rolls-Royce Meteor V12 engine, developed from the Merlin engine used in aircraft such as the Spitfire and Hurricane. The Cromwell saw extensive service following the Normandy landings and was particularly well suited to fast-moving advances across Europe. The Mk.VII incorporated improvements including increased armour, while the Mk.VI Close Support variant was fitted with a 95mm howitzer designed to provide supporting high-explosive and smoke fire.   Paints and glue are required to complete this model kit.
