Trumpeter 1/48 Scale British Royal Navy Buccaneer S.2D Strike Aircraft Model Kit The Blackburn/Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S.2D was a late-generation Royal Navy strike aircraft variant derived from the Buccaneer S.2 — itself an improved development of the original Buccaneer S.1, fitted with more powerful Rolls-Royce Spey Mk.101 turbofans, strengthened structures, upgraded avionics, and full naval features including wing folding and carrier-landing gear. Building on this enhanced S.2 airframe, the S.2D introduced the complete Martel missile capability along with further refinements for advanced maritime strike operations.
