Red Faction Armageddon (Xbox 360)

This third-person shooter takes place half a century after the Red Faction resistance freed Mars. Once again, the red planet has become a battlefield, and colonists are fighting for survival in underground mines after the surface has been rendered uninhabitable. Darius Mason, grandson of the protagonist from Red Faction: Guerrilla, accidentally unleashes a great evil on the planet. Now, only Darius and the Red Faction forces can save humanity. Just like in the previous installment, destruction plays a major role. Players can bring down entire buildings with their weapons. However, this time, destruction shares the spotlight with rebuilding. With Geo-Mod 2.0, destroyed structures can be reconstructed. If you need cover from enemy fire, you can now rebuild your shelter. The Magnet Gun allows players to pull two objects toward each other. For example, you can shoot at an enemy first, then at a building, causing a wall to be torn from the structure and slam into your opponent at high speed. In addition to the story mode, Red Faction: Armageddon features an extensive multiplayer mode. Here, players can also utilize destructible environments. Moreover, in this mode, players can pilot tanks and other vehicles to inflict as much damage as possible on their opponents.
